Something Amazing

So today was a day think I will treasure.

Today I posted on different groups and my own page on LinkedIn that I have been out of work and stuck for 3 months and I don't know what to do. The amazing people on LinkedIn all came to life. They began to message me, thank me for my bravery for posting this call for help, asking me for my resume so they can share it with their contacts, and just wishing me well. I have never been so overwhelmed with love from complete strangers.

I know that I might not get anything from this but what if I do. What if I get a job through a contact that shared my resume and thought they would help someone because it was their good deed of the day.

I am just in shock at all the messages and comments. I truly thought I would post it and start getting the calls from the "recruiting" companies that don't really have any positions but say they do. But what I got were people telling their stories as well. How they know what it is like to be at the end of your rope and having to reach out for a lifeline hoping to find something.

I don't think any of the people will find this that have reached out but if by chance they do or someone who does read this sees something similar, please know that you just tell them that you wish them well is so much more than you can know. I have always believed in helping people and this has reaffirmed my belief that there are people out there that are willing to help, you just have to be brave enough to ask for it.

If you are looking for work and in a position where you can't find any, get on LinkedIn and see what you can find. I know that it is hard because you have to admit to yourself and others that you are failing but you will completely fail if you don't at least try something.

I am truly thankful for all the support and help I got today and I will be in a position to help others soon.
